Hunter shines at the Blue Horizon!

Philadelphia's Eric Hunter 9-1(4) a late sub for the main event looked brilliant beating Jules Blackwell 7 2(2) with a third round stoppage. Hunter 124 1/2 was in control from the very beginning rocking Blackwell 124 1/2 in the first before dropping him in the second near the end of the round which likely saved Blackwell the end came mid way through the third of a scheduled eight from a right hook which dumped the Pheonixville native on the canvas despite him beating the count he was countered out by the referee. Hunter looked very impressive through out the fight and certainly looked like he could make waves in the talented Super Bantamweight division with his mixture of speed boxing skills and decent power.

In one of the chief support bouts at Welterweight Steve Upsher Chambers stopped Jaime Morales at 1.37 of the first. Chambers improves to 17-1-1(5) while Morales dips to 4-8(2). Morales started fast and backed up Chambers who was able to cover up let Morales blow himself out while picking his own shots before launching his assault of 30 plus unanswered shots that forced Morales to take refuge of a knee where he was then countered out.

Isreali Heavyweight Ran Nakash impressively moved to 13-0(9) with an impressive second round KO over out gunned James Porter 5-13-1(1). Though Nakash is small for a heavyweight at 211 he does possess a good shot selection.

Birthday boy Marcus Luck 9-15-1(3) won a four round decision over Orlando Lewis 4-2(4) unanimously by scores of 39-37 & 40-36x2 at Light Middleweight.

In a Lightweight battle Gerald Smith 3-0(1) won a majority decision over debutant Randolph Scott 37-37, 38-36 & 39-35 when he came on strong to score two knock downs in the fourth and final round.

Popular local Paul Fernandez 3-1-1(2) outpointed Baltimore's Darrell Martin in an action packed super Featherweight over four rounds 40-36 & 39-37x2. There appeared no love lost as both men engaged at close quarters for much of the fight though Martin did get on his bike in the fourth while in the same stanza Fernandez was cut.

Philadelphia's Julias Edmonds 2-1(0) won a closer than the scores suggested decision over Africa's Souma Nidom Abboulane who debuted 39-37 & 40-36x2

Britain's Steve O'Meara from London of Irish decent successfully moved to 2-0(1) with and impressive second round TKO over debutant Dontre King. O'Meara rocked King in the first and stopped him at 1.37 of the second with a left hook. O'Meara had Tim Witherspoon working his corner.

In walk on bout of the evening two Philadelphia locals battled over four of a Cruiserweight fight. Reshawn Scott won his debut fight over southpaw Kamarah Pasley by split decision 40-36x2 & 37-39.

In the world famous venue was attended by Tim Witherspoon, Bert Cooper, Tex Cobb & Eddie Chambers. It was another successful evening which promoted by Vernoca Michael.
